Flash Flood Warning, Areal Flood Warning

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 300 am CDT for
northern Uvalde... southwestern Bandera... northwestern Medina and
southeastern real counties...

At 1236 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already
fallen. Flash flooding is expected to continue.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Tarpley... Concan... Garner State Park... Utopia... Montell... Rio Frio and
Reagan Wells.

Additional rainfall amounts of one to three inches are possible in
the warned area. The water will take severl hours to drain off even
after the heavy rain ends.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate Route.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams... rivers... or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

southern Kerr... western Kendall... Bandera and real counties...

At 1232 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already
fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Medina... Kerrville... Comfort... Bandera... Leakey... Vanderpool... lost maples
State Park... Tuff... Kerrville State Park... Waring... Pipe Creek... Cypress
Creek... welfare... Nelson City... Center Point... Bandera Falls... Camp Verde...
Lakehills and prade ranch.

Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the
warned area. Heavy rainfall will continue to decrease across the
warned area... but flooding will continue for several more hours
until the water has drained off.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* until 145 am CDT

* at 1037 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will cause localized flooding. Two to three
inches of rain have already fallen and an additional two to three
could occur over the next few hours.

Medina... Kerrville... Comfort... Bandera... Vanderpool... Bankersmith...
Kerrville State Park... Waring... Pipe Creek... Cypress Creek... welfare...

At 1232 am CDT... Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Waring to 6 miles southeast of Tarpley to
6 miles northwest of Laguna. Movement was south at 15 mph.

Nickel size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Boerne... Comfort... Bandera... Tarpley... Camp Wood... Laguna... Garner State
Park... Montell... Lakehills... Rio Frio... Waring... Concan... Pipe Creek...
Utopia... Reagan Wells... welfare... Nelson City and Bandera Falls.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms... and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
these storms pass.
